"Helmet" steel case, inner tachymeter bezel graduated on a black and white painted flange, fluted crown, screw-down case back. • Black dial, luminescent painted baton indexes (tritium), white painted straight hands, continuous seconds at 9 o'clock, elapsed minutes totalizers in the center with airplane hand and hours (over 12 hours) at 6 o'clock, central arrow-shaped sweep second hand for the chronograph function painted in white, 24-hour day/night indication at 9 o'clock, date aperture at 3 o'clock. Steel bracelet, steel folding clasp (1221/212). Case, dial, buckle, and movement signed. Movement: self-winding mechanical. Caliber 1041 movement - numbered 36.253.016 (circa 1973) Case numbered 1780002/378.0801.
Launched to commemorate the manufacture's 125th anniversary in 1973, the Speedmaster 125 is the world's first certified automatic chronograph produced in series (2000 units).
